Beginning Fused Pendant Class
This hands on class is designed for fun!! You will make up to four pendants, learning the basics of fused glass in the process. Patterns ideas will be discussed.Frits, stringers, iridized glass and dichroic will be available! This is a great beginning class.
No Experience necessary.
Fired projects available one week after class.

Fused Tiles and Coasters
Create two - 4" square tiles and a fused glass pendant in this three hour class. Learn the basics of fusing including information on glass compatability, fusing cycles, kiln operation and practical application of your creations. Play with frit, powders, stringers, irridized and dichroic glass. Patterns ideas will be discussed. No Experience necessary.
Fired projects available one week after class.

Intensive One Day Fusing Class

Beginning Fusing One Day Intensive Class
Learn the basics of making fused glass jewelry and more - all in one day! We are offering a great combination of several of our most popular classes in a day-long workshop. Topics of instruction will include the basics of compatibility, kiln use & safety, along with more advanced techniques such as making patterned dichroic pendants with decals, dicro slide, lava cloth, and etching cream. Another section of the class will be dedicated to refining and "editing" your pendants using a lap grinder and ring saw. You will leave this class with several great quality pendants, the skills to make more, and most likely, a new passion! NEW: Materials now included in tuition.

Wire Wrap your Fused Pendants
In this workshop you will learn two techniques for turning your fused glass pieces into beautiful wire-wrapped pendants, using only your hands and a pair of pliers. We will be doing a channel wrap and a cage wrap. Please bring two or more of your fused glass pieces to wrap (max 1.5"X 2"). All skill levels are welcome, even if you have never worked with wire before. Tuition includes wire and use of our tools. wire before.

Fused Glass Garden Stake
Get ready to sit back in the sun and admire your new garden art! Beginners and those with experience are welcome to join us to learn how to make a round, transparent fused glass piece that will fit into a wrought iron garden stake. Bring your own ideas for an insert that is 8" in diameter, or we will have patterns to get you started. Pieces will be fired in our kiln after class and ready for pick up within one week.

Beginning Fusing: Christmas with Charlene!
Learn the basics of fusing while making 3 great holiday ornaments! Projects will include a star, circle, and tree shape that you will decorate with your own individual flare! Charlene will have lots of great ideas, suggestions and samples for your projects and some great ideas for your next adventures in fusing. We will tack fuse your ornaments in our kiln, drill a hole for hanging, and it will be ready for pick up within the week.

Beginning Fusing: Dichroic Jewelry
Give your fused glass jewelry some shape! This class will teach you how to fuse scraps of funky, patterned dichroic glass into distinctive necklace pendants. Students will design a 2" x 4" tile of dichroic and fusible glass during class time and come back during the next week to cut it into several fun-shaped pendants using our diamond-bladed ring saw. We will then fire-polish your pendants in our kiln. Class is one night with a half hour follow up by appointment.

Fused Stringer Plate

Beginning Fusing: Stringer Plate/Vase
Create a unique, decorative plate or vase while learning a great design technique in this new class. Using only spaghetti-like glass stringers, students will put their favorite color combinations into a work of glass art! All glass and use of our molds is included. Projects may be picked up within one week.

Fused Christmas Trees
Create three fused glass Christmas Trees in this fun class for beginners. Students will have several colors to choose from and the decorating possibilities are endless. You will learn the basics of fusing and get a bonus wire-wrapping lesson so you can add colored wire "garland" to your trees. All materials are included and your kiln-fired treasures will be ready for pick up within a week.

Morton System Fused Snowflakes
Easy to make snowflakes-no foiling or soldering. Learn how to use the Morton System to cut your glass into strips,squares and triangles. Next learn the basics of glass fusing in a kiln. Watch as your glass melts (tack fused) into beautiful snowflakes. Spectrum System 96 glass will be used. All skill levels welcome!

Open Fusing
"Shop time" for the glass fusers. We will provide table and kiln space( max 9" by 9") and an environment for fun and creativity. All materials extra! Additional kiln space can be arranged.

Open Slump Fusing
By request! For those of you who have discovered the fun of making plates and other great slumped creations. . .Drop off your glass and kiln-washed mold, and we will turn the kilns on for you. Mold must be 12" or less in diameter and vertical drop limit is 3". Plates will be ready for pick up within two days. There is no instruction involved in this "class". Please call ahead if you have questions.

Intermediate Glass Fusing: Fused Pendants
This 3 part class is a great opportunity to advance the skills that you learned in your beginning fusing classes. You will make several pendants during the first week using many techniques and glass types We will make pendants using dams, etching cream, experiment with sand blasting , and enamel pens. The second week is dedicated to "editing ", and giving your pendant shape using the ring saw, drilling holes, and then fire polishing. The third week will focus on turning your pendants into finished pieces of jewelry using sterling silver wire and beads.

Glass Fusing-Round Plate/Bowl Intermediate Class

Glass Fusing-Round Plate/Bowl Class - Intermediate Level
Learn about fusing and slumping in this new class. You can choose your own mold up to 10 inch in diameter.During the first night you will prepare your mold with primer, design your project , cut and assemble your glass for the first firing. The following week you will have the opportunity to "edit" your glass and prepare it to be slumped into your mold. The third week students will meet to view and discuss the completed projects. It is recommended that you purchase your mold and glass prior to class. We will special order molds if you can not find one in our stock.

Etched Dichroic Glass Pendants
Take your fused glass jewelry to a new level. Make 4 one of a kind patterned dichroic glass pendants using cream etch. Pendants will be available for pick up the next day. All skill levels welcome.

Use pro fusion decals to fire onto your glass. Adds a new dimesion to your glass pendants! Pendants will be available for pick up the next day. Beginners or advanced students welcome.

Fused Sconces
You will learn some great fusing techniques in this fun new class, while making a great piece for your home. Students will compose their sconce in the first week's class, and edit and embellish in the second. We will be making inserts for the new South Beach Sconce V-shaped frame, which will be discounted on class nights. Prerequisite: any fusing class. Materials (estimate $100) not included in tuition.

Glass Fusing with Silver Clay

Glass Fusing with PMC Inclusions
Learn the basics of glass fusing with PMC & copper inclusions. Render the design elements with paper punches, which, easily penetrate the clay to create intricate shapes to fuse into your pendants. In addition to the clay we will punch designs of thin sheet copper and Dicro Slide™ to accent the fine silver design. Discover how to create an illusion of depth by layering the metal between glass. Discuss dichroics, fine-silver inclusions and firing schedules. Projects will be available for pick up the next day or will be mailed to you. All skill levels welcome.

Silver Clay Class - Instructor Carol Giffin , PMC certified

PMC Fine Silver Pendant Class - Instructor Carol Giffin , PMC certified
Make a pendant with a cubic zirconia accent or bring a small piece of fused glass and embellish it with silver. Students will learn how to manipulate the clay, refine and fire their pendant. Class includes use of tools, paste, clay, cubic zirconia and one firing. Artwork available two days after class. All skill levels welcome.
