Beginning Flameworking: Blown Ornaments Beginning Flameworking: Blown Ornaments
Learn how easy it is to make fabulous blown glass ornaments in this fun class. Each student will be given 10 glass tubes to fill with their favorite colors of glass and heat at the torch. You will then blow the warm glass into a one-of-a-kind ornament (no they don't all work out, but you are guaranteed to get several beauties). Think Christmas . . .get some of those gifts out of the way ahead of time and spend an evening having fun!

Blown Ornament Open Torch Blown Ornament Open Torch
If you've taken the introductory ornament class and are just itching to make more, come in and use our torches to get it done! Students must purchase/bring glass tubes and ornament caps, and we provide a large assortment of colored frit (what a deal!), torches, and kiln-anneal the ornaments for you. There will be a demonstration of how to cut the tubes and attach silver or gold caps to complete your unique ornaments.

Beginning Flameworking:  3 weeks on the torch Beginning Flameworking: 3 Weeks on the Torch!
With teacher Julie Lukosaitis you will learn a variety of skills from the very basics of beadmaking to intermediate decorating techniques in this great class that offers lots of torch time. We will be covering the basics of set up, safety, glass and mandrels. Plus, we will explore several techniques using frit and stringer. You will get a chance to make floral beads and tiger beads incorporating foils into glass for special effects. Working on the torch several weeks in a row will help reinforce and retain your skills giving you the chance to get lots of beads made! All materials and use of our tools are included in the tuition. Students are asked to wear closed-toed shoes and long pants.

Beginning Flameworking: Bead Making Class Beginning Flameworking: Bead Making Class

This is an introductory bead making class. Each student will be working on a hot head torch. You will learn torch set up along with all the safety isssues involved with bead making. Basic bead shapes will be taught and plenty of torch time will be provided. Learn about types of glass and coe's, basic bead shapes, mandrel preparation, pulling stingers, twisties, dots and various decorating techniques. Handouts available.

Beginning Borosilicate-3 Weeks on the Torch Beginning Borosilicate-3 Weeks on the Torch
Little or no torch experience is required for this opportunity to get great flameworking instruction. You will learn how to melt glass into fabulous pieces of art! The class will start off with working solid rod & progress into more advanced techniques using glass tubing. Some of the techniques that will be taught include stringer pulling, pulling points, making cane/latticino, making a simple mushroom pendant, two types of implosion pendants, bubble blowing and possibly blowing a small mouth jar. Nate will do several demonstrations each night and students will have lots of guided torch time to try the techniques he shows.

Beginning Flameworking: Borosilicate Glass Pendants Beginning Flameworking: Borosilicate Glass Pendants
Learn to melt glass with a torch to make fabulous necklace pendants! Students will learn the basics and create a glass pendant. Techniques to be covered include creating a gather, making a maria, making a solid rod implosion, pulling stringer and attaching a hook.

Small Blown Glass Vessels Small Blown Glass Vessels
For the complete beginner with Mandy Buckner. Learn to make blown glass vessels with Borosilicate glass! This class will show you how to use Borosilicate tubing and rod to make blown glass vessels. We will be focusing specifically on a small bud vase. The techniques and control taught in this class can be used as a spring board for more advanced vessels and color work. Class will cover basic studio safety concerns, different types of glass, torches, working with tube and rod and various ways to add color to your pieces.

Wire Wrap your Lampworked Beads Wire Wrap your Lampworked Beads
Come to this fun workshop and learn two techniques for turning your favorite beads into beautiful wire wrapped pendants, using only your hands and a pair of pliers. Bring a few of your favorite larger beads to class and leave with unique ready-to-wear pendants! We will supply copper wire for you to practice,and sterling wire may be purchased during class if you wish. All skill levels are welcome, even if you've never worked with wire before.

Have fun in the flame! Learn how to use a torch to melt glass and make fun marbles. Nate will demonstrate a variety of types, such as catseye marbles and you will have plenty of torch time to make some for yourself. You may take both Basic Marbles I & Intermediate Vortex Marbles II for a reduced rate of $80.00. Unravel the mystery behind the optical illusion of vortex marbles. Students must have prior borosilicate flameworking experience. Ready to master the marble and save some money while doing it? This class combines both Marble I and Marble II classes for a reduced tuition rate. You will start with the Basic Marble I Class and follow with the Intermediate Borosilicate Vortex Marbles II Class. In the Marble I class, Nate will demonstrate a variety of types of marble construction, and then you will make your own. In the Marble II class, you will focus on constructing the optical illusion of the vortex marble.

Intermediate Flameworking: Borosilicate Mini-Goblet Intermediate/Advanced Flameworking: Borosilicate Goblets
Come to this class to see the tricks & techniques involved in creating your own decorative, unique glassware. Nate will have samples, do demonstrations and then set you free to try your hand at making glass goblets. Projects may be picked up within a week after they have been annealed. Students must have flameworking experience and have worked with borosilicate tubing.

Open Torch Open Torch
One must have beginning bead making skills to participate. There will not be any instruction but rather a workspace, a torch, and gas. Staff will be available to help you get hooked up. A kiln will be provided for annealing. Either a minor burner or a hot head will be available.

Intermediate Lampworking with Cindy Palmer, Full Circle Galleria Intermediate Lampworking with Cindy Palmer, Full Circle Galleria
Ready for the next step in lampworking? Precise dots and patterns, bi-cones, cubes without a press, a pair of beads on one mandrel. How about a fish that can stand on its own two fins, a frog perhaps? Maybe you’ve been dying to have great stringer control, or make a complex cane, what about those poked dots and great flower petals? These are all things you can learn in Intermediate Lampworking a class for those ready to go beyond the basics. Learn about surface tension and how to make gravity work with you (even though your mother swears it’s your enemy), use transparent glass to its fullest potential, and how about all those presses out there – where does one start? The potential is endless in this 6 hour class. Cindy allows the students needs to dictate the direction of the class making certain students have what they need to go beyond the basics of lampworking.

Intermediate Flameworking: Lizards Intermediate Flameworking: Lizards with Cindy Palmer
Love Lizards? You will after this class! Cindy will share her secrets, tips & techniques so you too can make these fun reptiles. This is an intermediate class, and students should have the skills to make a 1.5 inch long bead and be able to pull stringers to various diameters. All materials and use of tools is included in the tuition. Beads will be annealed and ready for pick up within a week.

Learn to form fun and funky buttons to enhance your clothes. Cindy will show you all the tricks and techniques using soft glass to make these amazing buttons. One must have beginning bead making skills to participate.

Intermediate Flameworking: Borosilicate Glass Pendants Intermediate Flameworking: Borosilicate Glass Pendants
Learn to form leaf shaped pendants. Cindy will show you all the tricks and techniques using borosilicate glass to make these graceful leaf shaped pendants with a loop for hanging on a chain or leather necklace. One must have beginning bead making skills to participate.

Intermediate Flameworking: Borosilicate Sculptural Flowers Intermediate Flameworking: Borosilicate Sculptural Flowers
Techniques to be covered are making ribbon and twisty cane, making an implosion bead, making a small flare for the foot of the sculpture, and pulling and attaching petals. Stop by the store to see a great example of this project! Students must have prior flameworking experience.

Intermediate Flameworking: Borosilicate Implosion Pendant Intermediate Flameworking: Borosilicate Implosion Pendant
Learn the techniques to create these intricate implosion pendants and quality loops in this 3 hour class. Scott will demonstrate the technique and then students will have hands-on torch time to create their own pendant and ask questions. Tuition includes all materials and use of our torches. Prerequisite: any experience with borosilicate torch working.
