Little or no torch experience is required for this opportunity to get great flameworking instruction. You will learn how to melt glass and take the first steps toward making fabulous pieces of art! The class will start off with working solid rod & progress into more advanced techniques using glass tubing. Some of the techniques that will be taught include stringer pulling, pulling points, making cane/latticino, making a simple mushroom pendant, implosion pendants, bubble blowing and possibly blowing a small jar. There will be several demonstrations each night and students will have lots of guided torch time to try the techniques shown. Students will work at their own pace and may choose whether to try more advanced techniques or spend class time practicing. Materials included.
