In this three week class, students will go beyond the basics of bead making, learning to use the flame and gravity to their advantage. This will enable you to make larger beads with more stable ends and a good pucker. We will discuss how to pull stringer in a variety of sizes, and make cane of multiple colors. Students will also learn how to use their stringer and where in the flame they should work, which will allow them more control with their stringer work. After we master the stringer and cane pulling, we will learn about dot placement and applications, along with using frit and tips for encasing beads. All materials and use of our Minor torches is included. This class is geared for those beginners who have had at least 15 hours of torch time.
